On 30.05.2010 the law of metrology has changed, so therefore the silo thermometer has been excluded from the periodical examination (calibration and stamping).
However, since at least one part of the temperature measurement system (silo thermometer) is in a potentially explosive surrounding, the device should have the appropriate EX certificate (Ordinance on equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive surroundings: Official Gazette RS 10/2017 and 21/2020-150) in order to be safe. Furthermore, the measuring systems should be inspected periodically every 6 months. (Law on Fire Protection Official Gazette 20/2015).
